What are antioxidants?
Antioxidants are substances that protect your organism from oxidative stress. The latter is caused by free radicals contained in environmental toxins such as exhaust fumes, cigarette smoke or some fragrances. From a chemical point of view, they are very unstable and therefore easily react with the cells of your body. In this way, they damage your skin and can promote early signs of aging.

The most popular antioxidants in skin care include, for example, vitamin C (ascorbic acid), vitamin E (tocopherol) and vitamin B3 (niacinamide).
